What's next

The bets behind
the planned column.

/roadmap tells you what. This page tells you why. Three to four pieces of work we think are worth doing soon, and what we expect to learn.

01 This quarter

Generate 3–5 articles in onboarding, not one

The problem

First-time users see a single article and have no way to tell whether AutoInk holds up across their topic. The 'does this actually understand my niche?' question stays unanswered until they invest another twenty minutes.

The plan

Pick up to five keywords on the topic step and watch them generate side-by-side. Each article stays independently editable; you can publish all of them with one click, or discard the misses. The pipeline already supports concurrent runs — what's missing is the UI to make it feel like one task instead of five.

02 This quarter

Tell you the moment an AI engine starts (or stops) citing you

The problem

Today the Monday digest is the first time you hear about a citation flip. Five days late is fine for trend tracking, but it's not when you'd want to update a brief, share the win internally, or chase a regression.

The plan

Slack, Discord, and generic webhook alerts triggered the moment a citation transition lands. Same engine that drives the weekly report — we just need to fan out per-flip events as they happen instead of batching them into the digest.

03 Next quarter

Per-platform trend, not a single visibility line

The problem

The current outcome chart blends every AI engine into one line, so you can't tell whether Gemini is cooling while Perplexity is warming. That's exactly the diagnostic question the chart should answer.

The plan

Split the trend into a stacked-area view: one band per engine, twelve weeks back. The data model already records per-platform snapshots — we'll add the bucketed view to the API and re-cut the chart in the Outcomes tab.

04 Always

Make the roadmap itself a real artifact

The problem

Most SaaS roadmaps are PR exercises — vague, never updated, no link between what was promised and what shipped.

The plan

/roadmap, /changelog, and this page move together. When something moves from Planned to In progress, this page updates in the same change. When it ships, it lands on /changelog with a date. No after-the-fact narrative rewrites.
